Well hello there! So nice to meet you. I'm Dave. I’m looking for a great partner. Are you a great partner? I suppose a little about myself is in order: I'm a country boy who grew up logging/sawmilling and ranching in the mountains of the US. I wandered off the ranch when I was 18 and I've been living all over the world since then. My upbringing made me conservative in my values but thirsty for broader views the world could offer. I’m pretty sure there is the soul of an old seafarer trapped in this country boy’s body. I go where fair winds and following seas take me, but my heart always yearns for home and hearth. I have an obnoxiously active curiosity that leads me all over this universe asking: “why?”. I crave education, but don’t deal well with schooling. I’m a polymath and polyglot but just could never be bothered to sit in a classroom. I should be a neurologist or engineer by now, but instead I’ve got this damned, worthless MBA and I’m working on my LLM (masters of international law) through Harvard’s/MIT’s EdX platform. I’ve also been a diligent student at the University of YouTube for many years and if you examine my history on the app you will find a very eclectic mix of rabbit holes I have been down. Wanna go down a rabbit hole with me? And did you really think I was going to show you my browsing history??? hahahaha If you’re looking for some old, stodgy paragon of predictability, then I’m probably not your homie. But if you like spontaneity, adventure, exploring, and long naps, then I’m your huckleberry. I’m definitely an introvert (I recharge alone or in intimate company), but I have no problem with public speaking or leading, and I enjoy those things in fact. I’m equally adept in a boardroom advising on the geopolitical implications bearing on proposed initiatives as I am in a slum sharing a meal or giving medical care to grimy little children with smiles brighter than the sun. You don’t need a degree and a licence to care and to heal within ethical boundaries and you certainly don’t need permission to share a meal with someone who hasn’t had one in a while. You could probably sum up my life with: “so much world, so little time”. I don’t particularly care to travel only for the sake of travel, although I find myself doing plenty of that when the opportunity presents itself. I prefer instead to go places and stay for a while to do cool things. I’ve spent most of my adult life in SE Asia with a few years here and there in Europe and the Caribbean. I’m currently in Greece but the old feet are getting itchy again. We’ll see… Oh, and by the way, no vices here. Never took to drug or drink for some reason. I guess I just don't have an addictive personality. That said, I don't mind sharing a drink with you from time to time if that's what you enjoy; so don't worry that I'm some sort of puritan who will judge you haha. Well, that’s me in the proverbial nutshell I think. For me, it's hard to talk about ourselves in few words, especially most people in this website pick future partners based on pics or countries of origin or where they live. Some lie in their bios, others are hallucinating about what they think they are ( Hey I'm a very open minded girl, I'm open to any culture and race... but I want someone white like me and from my country 😄 ). So I prefer that we invest time to chat and see if there is a connection after a mutual like, And whatever the reason of the like, it could be a good starting subject that we can talk about. Some people chat with tens of other people, I don't do this, if there is a mutual like, I focus on that person, and if there is a connection and a potential future relationship, I deactivate my account. So I prefer to find someone thinking the same. Good and healthy relationships, we invest in it and we build it together. It doesn't come like that , magic. So let's talk about myself in case you will pick me based on my bio, somethings you would probably like, others you would probably not. I come from a "considered" muslim country, but I'm not, since I was 18. I have no issues with muslims as people (my family are) but I can't tolerate the religion anymore, so if you are a Muslim or very sympathic with the religion, don't waste your time, because one day we will argue and fight about many things, especially I'm a very sarcastic person. What I can say can hurt you and I like my freedom of speech. This is the main reason I started using this website. I was in 11 years relationship with a local girl, atheist like me, who chose her own security and safety in another european country over me. And I can understand that if I have to believe Maslow pyramid of needs and I did psychology as a degree, security over love, but this is not my opinion , as for me, love is one of the main needs. For other religions, I don't care as long as you are not religious and believe in dumb things and having zero rationality. So I couldn't find someone similar, also worried maybe the same thing will happen again. So I started using this website 3 years ago, dated and met 3 people in here, I have to say that all of them were thinking that I was using them for papers lol even I was honest saying that I will have to live somewhere else where I can feel free and with people they don't judge me how I think and what I believe on. Now I'm living in Greece, legally if this is a concern lol. I tried to date again, met some but with the language barrier and even they can speak English they don't feel comfortable using it in every day life, and working from home ! So it's a struggle to date, so I'm trying my chances again here. I can write pages, that's why I prefer chat. So in short. I consider myself socially progressive, but I still believe in traditional things like family, the right way to raise kids, fidelity... I believe I'm romantic but not in the trending way, flowers, gifts and public proposal anyone can do it but doesn't mean real love. I still believe in sacrifices, support, sharing and more. That's when you know if the person really loves you, especially in hard and struggle moments. And this is also why I prefer a simple life, not a struggling one and not an easy one. I'm done struggling, but also I can't enjoy things when they are easy to reach. I like traveling, so I prefer someone who likes this, but I don't like luxurious type of traveling, I prefer trying local life where I go, but it doesn't hurt if sometimes we try something different. I prefer to be with someone who believes in a fusional realtionship, we can be partners, best friends, where relationship and family come first. Where we can be close, honest and transparent, that we can understand each others without even need to say anything, in a way that I can know you are sad when you are laughing (I know this kind probably extinct 😅) . I woul prefer someone who wants to have kids and start a family. I believe it can make the relationship stronger and I love having kids.
