I've had an adventurous life, which involved travelling overland to India when I was 25 and by some quirk of fate then living abroad for 12 years in three different countries before moving back to England. So my life has had an unconventional leaning. A deeper kind of love in my view involves a real ongoing honesty and openness and humility and responsibility but I'm fully aware this is never perfect. God knows it's difficult to stay young at heart as we get older where the tendency is to become sentimental and stuck in our ways and overly intellectual and opinionated. On the active side I'm quite sporty and enjoy table tennis and Pilates and dancing. I like to go on walks with a pub lunch along the way, cook, listen to music and watch films. I work part time on my two small time self employed businesses from home. I love animals. My grandfather was a Mendip farmer and spent many a happy morning in the milking shed during the summer holidays as a child. Also had riding lessons for 4 years at that time. I rode that magnificent Palomino stallion when couch surfing in the South of France a few years ago. I have a very irreverent sense of humour that comes from seeing the folly of what is happening in the world and not taking it too seriously. So irreverence, humour, teasing and having a laugh are also very important.

In life I have been an apprentice at Rolls Royce then became an engine fitter there. After this I was an aircraft fitter and inspector at British Aerospace. Other stuff that I have done. Lots of photographic work, weddings, bands and rock clubs. I was a MOD in 1979 so if your were into this also please say hello. In more recent times I have an undergraduate certificate in psychology from Harvard and I am a qualified teacher for adults. I am also studying to become a therapist. I teach IT at ground level for people who cant do emails and Facebook but also do some specialist stuff with Unix like systems. I have built my own server that I run when I feel like it. I wouldn’t describe myself as run of the mill what so ever. I am not wealthy so although I can drive and have driven lorries, buses and many other vehicles over the years (I passed my test in a Land-rover in Salisbury on market day) I do not own a car. I own and run a small motorbike which gets me around. The rest of my travels are done by bus or train. I have also written five books in the last few years and perform at Open Mic where I do spoken word. I do a lot of technical stuff and like to fix and mend stuff.
